However, it is feasible to get him in and out of the chair without loosening the straps, so this is not usually an issue.

The  Britax boulevard  for instance serves as a rear facing car seat from newborns up to 40 pounds. It then is turned forward until your youngster has grown to 70 pounds. This is an advantage over the Everflo seats.
